LPC-Associate Supervision

Dr. Heather Hahn provides supervision for LPC-Associates. All supervision meets the requirements of the Texas Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Heather suggests that Interns thoroughly research prospective supervisors to find the supervisor who will be the best fit for them. It is important to ensure that your supervisor can provide an enriching and challenging learning experience for you; therefore, assess for: fit of expertise, fit of theoretical orientation, and fit of support and challenge. Your supervisor should be one that helps you continue down the path of becoming a more competent and ethically sound clinician. Therefore, you should be assessing the appropriateness of your supervisor, as much as the supervisor is assessing for the appropriate fit of you.
